Who we are

What we collect when you send an enquiry
- What you type: name, email, city, preferred date, group size, and optionally a message, a preferred language, a phone or WhatsApp number, how you found us and what you asked an AI assistant.
- Attribution: the page you landed on, the page that referred you, any campaign tags in the address, the time of submission and your browser’s user-agent string.
- Abuse protection: a salted, truncated hash of your IP address (not the address itself), and the result of a Cloudflare Turnstile check. Turnstile may process your IP and browser characteristics to distinguish people from bots; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
We do not collect payment details on this site.
Why, and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and arrange a tour: performance of a contract, or steps at your request before one (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- To understand which channels bring enquiries and to prevent spam: our legitimate interest in running a small business honestly (art. 6(1)(f)).
We do not send newsletters and we do not sell or share your details for marketing.
Who sees it
Us, and the local guide we arrange for you (name, group size, date, interests and, if you gave one, a phone number, so they can find you at the station). Data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure in the European Union; notification emails are delivered through Cloudflare and Google Workspace or Gmail.
How long
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after the last contact so we can answer follow-ups and keep our accounts, then deleted. Ask sooner and we delete sooner, unless a legal obligation says otherwise.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no tracking cookies and shows no cookie banner because none is needed. If analytics are enabled, we use Piqo in cookieless mode, which stores no identifier on your device and produces aggregate page statistics only. Cloudflare Turnstile on the enquiry form may set a short-lived cookie strictly necessary for the bot check. The form remembers your landing page in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to our use of it, or ask for a copy. Email hello@dutchcitytours.com; we answer within a month. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
If this statement changes materially we update the version date at the top and note it here. The version you agreed to is stored with your enquiry.
